HOW OFTEN SHOULD MY HVAC SYSTEM BE SERVICED?

We recommend having your system professionally serviced twice a year — once in the spring for your cooling system and once in the fall for your heating system. During each visit, our technicians perform a thorough inspection of your electrical connections, wiring, and mechanical components to make sure everything is running safely and efficiently.

Staying on a regular maintenance schedule helps prevent unexpected breakdowns, extends the life of your equipment, and keeps your energy bills in check. Ask us about our Preventive Maintenance Plan for additional perks and priority scheduling.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN A SPRING AC TUNE-UP?

Our spring tune-up focuses on getting your air conditioning system ready for the Southern Utah heat. Here's what our technicians cover:

Refrigerant & Pressure

Check refrigerant levels and system pressures. Inspect disconnect switch. Check amperage draw on the compressor.

Electrical Components

Test starting capabilities and capacitors. Measure volts and amps on the blower motor. Tighten all electrical connections.

Drainage & Lubrication

Clear the condensate drain line. Lubricate all moving parts. Check and clean the condenser coil.

Airflow & Calibration

Calibrate the thermostat. Check system airflow and verify air filter size. Measure supply and return temperature difference.

Duct Inspection

Inspect the duct connection at the unit. Verify proper airflow throughout the system.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN A FALL HEATING TUNE-UP?

Our fall tune-up prepares your heating system for the cooler months ahead. Here's what we inspect and service:

Gas & Combustion

Inspect the gas valve and connectors. Verify adequate combustion air. Check and clean the burners. Clean the ignition assembly.

Heat Exchanger & Venting

Inspect the heat exchanger for cracks or damage. Monitor flue draft for proper venting. Test safety controls.

Mechanical Components

Check and adjust the blower belt. Test starting capabilities. Lubricate all moving parts. Measure volts and amps on the blower motor.

Airflow & Calibration

Calibrate the thermostat. Check air filter size and condition. Measure supply and return temperature difference.

Duct Inspection

Inspect the duct connection at the unit. Verify system is distributing heat evenly throughout your home.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CHANGE MY HVAC FILTER?

As a general rule, you should replace your HVAC filter every three months. If you have pets, allergies, or notice more dust than usual in your home, we recommend changing it monthly.

A dirty or clogged filter restricts airflow, which forces your system to work harder and run longer. Over time, that can lead to frozen coils, increased energy costs, and premature mechanical failure. It's one of the simplest and most affordable things you can do to keep your system running well.
